CEB's Professor of Molecular Biotechnology awarded the Sosei Heptares Prize by the British Biophysical Society

Sensor CDT alumni Terry Fawden and Anne-Pia Marty have secured both of the University’s EPSRC Postdoctoral Pathway Fellowships for 2025/26 – a strong result for our department and a clear marker of the strength of the course.

Researchers have achieved a new level of control over the atomic structure of a family of materials known as halide perovskites, creating a finely tuned ‘energy sandwich’ that could transform how solar cells, LEDs and lasers are made.

New study published in Nature Nanotechnology from Prof Sam Stranks’ Optoelectronic Materials and Device Spectroscopy Group.
